The sub 12 second 100 - the challenge has begun.

For all my discipline and understanding of what hard work achieves, I just can never seem to stay in peak physical condition.

I'm no stranger to the gym and a variety of sports. I have a great appreciation for nutrition, and eat well. But here I am again, feeling less than okay with my current physical state.

As a reader of this blog over the years, you will know the above to be true, but to set the scene for the purpose of this blog post, I have made a video.

So starting now (June) and lasting until November, I'm going to train like a sprinter. I feel nothing gets you in better shape than what is needed to make you faster in life.

By all counts, if you can run a sub 12 second 100m you are pretty quick, so that is the challenge. Quite something considering my current state.
