SuperRugby weekend preview - 13 July

Super Rugby has felt a little pointless in the last couple weeks, but with the New Zealand teams now back in the mix, it’s go time again for the final round of pool play

With many teams looking to hit their best form going into the playoffs, the big story is which team is going to finish top overall, and then have the home finals lined up.

Crusaders and the Lions are vying for the top spot, and with the Crusaders facing the Hurricanes (without their first choice front row), it could be advantage Lions.

Here’s a look at the fixtures for the weekend:

Highlanders vs Reds 09:35
Rebels vs Jaguares 11:45
Kings vs Cheetahs 19:00

Sunwolves vs Blues 05:05
Chiefs vs Brumbies 07:15
Hurricanes vs Crusaders 09:35
Force vs Waratahs 11:45
Bulls vs Stormers 15:05
Sharks vs Lions 17:15

Now onto the calls for the weekend, the percentage calls from World Sport Betting, and then my ones drawn from gut feelings and a bit of reading.

Looking at the log on TheBounce Pool sees Rentia still on top going into the final pool round of play.

Perhaps time to throw some caution to the wind here and pick a few upsets. This late in the season they could come off.
